About the Dasduino-LITE-hardware design PCB

Dasduino-LITE-hardware design is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by SolderedElectronics, published on GitHub under the TAPR-OHL-1.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 25.9 × 38 mm, with 45 components from 30 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATTINY1604, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the CH340C, TPS7A2633DRVR and TP4056M. By type, the board carries 12 resistors, 10 capacitors, 7 diodes, 6 relays, 4 ICs and 2 switches.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

Hardware design, BOM, gerbers and 3D files for Dasduino-LITE designed by Soldered Electronics.

Dasduino Lite is the right choice when you are limited with space, but still looking for capable controller. Based on Attiny1604, with USB-C port, Li-ion charger and CH340 USB-UART converter, it has all must-haves on a small form-factor.

Only 38mm wide and 26mm high, Dasduino Lite contains 12 GPIO pins. Of these, 9 can be programmed as analog. It comes with a USB Type-C connection and is 100% compatible with the original Arduino IDE software using custom Board Definition. In addition to its small dimensions, which are the main characteristic of this Dasduino, there is also a charger for a…

Dasduino-LITE-hardware design: common questions

What microcontroller does the Dasduino-LITE-hardware design use?

The Dasduino-LITE-hardware design is built around the ATTINY1604, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Dasduino-LITE-hardware design PCB?

The Dasduino-LITE-hardware design measures 25.9 × 38 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Dasduino-LITE-hardware design?

45 components, from 30 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Dasduino-LITE-hardware design design files?

From the SolderedElectronics/Dasduino-LITE-hardware-design repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Dasduino-LITE-hardware design design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its TAPR-OHL-1.0 license, which SolderedElectronics chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Dasduino-LITE-hardware design without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
