SparkFun XRP Controller ========================================

The Experiential Robotics Platform (XRP) Controller and Experiential Robotics Platform (XRP) Controller - Beta operate as the "brains" of the Experiential Robotics Platform Kits. These boards provide the programming and operation interface to connect and control the motors, sensors and other peripherals included in the XRP Kits. The controller boards primary microcontrollers are a Pico W (XRP-Beta) and RP2350 (XRP) and also include motor drivers, 6 DoF IMU, motor and sensor connectors along with other user interfaces.

SparkFun XRP Controller: common questions

What microcontroller does the SparkFun XRP Controller use?

The SparkFun XRP Controller is built around the RP2350B, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the SparkFun XRP Controller PCB?

The SparkFun XRP Controller measures 63.5 × 54 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.59936 mm thick.

How many components are on the SparkFun XRP Controller?

176 components, from 64 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SparkFun XRP Controller design files?

From the sparkfun/SparkFun_XRP_Controller repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SparkFun XRP Controller design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which sparkfun chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the SparkFun XRP Controller without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
