About the Colecovision multicart PCB
Colecovision multicart is an open source PIC PCB design by sparkletron, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 70.1 × 74.6 mm, with 14 components from 11 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the PIC16F648A-IP, from the PIC family. Other key parts include the 74LS148 and SST39SF040. By type, the board carries 5 capacitors, 3 ICs, 2 resistors, 1 transistor, 1 crystal and 1 connector.

This project creates a complete 15 in 1 multicart for the Colecovision. It will generate the needed ROM image, and firmware. Provides all the files needed for PCB creation, and the 3D printed case creation.
No valid Colecovision ROMs are included in this project. Only valid ROM is the multicart application generated by RODAC. Game ROMs in RODAC are random data written in various bank sizes for testing only.

Colecovision multicart: common questions
What microcontroller does the Colecovision multicart use?
The Colecovision multicart is built around the PIC16F648A-IP, from the PIC family.
How big is the Colecovision multicart PCB?
The Colecovision multicart measures 70.1 × 74.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Colecovision multicart?
14 components, from 11 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Colecovision multicart design files?
From the sparkletron/colecovision_multicart repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Colecovision multicart design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which sparkletron chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Colecovision multicart without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug PIC firmware against it before you order a PCB.
