About the HighZ-stereo PCB

HighZ-stereo is an open source PCB design by Supermagnum, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 62.5 × 97.5 mm, with 69 components from 19 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the OPA1679. By type, the board carries 28 resistors, 22 capacitors, 10 diodes, 8 connectors and 1 IC.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

Stereo High Z amplifier for dual balanced piezoelectric crystals.

A small PCB that uses a OPA1679 op amp to amplify a signal from piezolectric crystals.

It has balanced output, input and should run on +48 phantom power. Shielded cable must be used for connection to the piezo crystals. Please use 0,5 W metal film resistors with 1% tolerance or better and audio quality capacitors. Polypropylene (PP) capacitators is good, electrolytes if needed.

HighZ-stereo: common questions

How big is the HighZ-stereo PCB?

The HighZ-stereo measures 62.5 × 97.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the HighZ-stereo?

69 components, from 19 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the HighZ-stereo design files?

From the Supermagnum/HighZ-stereo repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the HighZ-stereo design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-4.0 license, which Supermagnum chose for the repository.
