About the Muscle-BioAmp-Candy PCB

Muscle-BioAmp-Candy is an open source PCB design by upsidedownlabs, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 35 × 15 mm, with 22 components from 13 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the Amp. By type, the board carries 10 resistors, 9 capacitors, 2 connectors and 1 IC.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

A candy size ElectroMyoGraphy (EMG) sensor for precise muscle bio-potential signals recording.

A candy size ElectroMyography (EMG) sensor for precise muscle bio-potential signals recording at an affordable cost. It comes with a fixed gain of x2420 and BandPass filter of 72Hz - 720Hz. To record the EMG signals you can use any standalone ADC like ADS1115 or any microcontroller development board with an ADC of your choice like Arduino UNO/Nano.

Muscle BioAmp Candy has been created using KiCad and all the design files can be found under hardware folder. Images below shows a quick overview of the hardware design.
