About the IEEE Std. 1284 HAT+

IEEE Std. 1284 HAT+ is an open source PCB design by worlickwerx, published on GitHub under the GPL-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 65 × 56.5 mm, with 16 components from 13 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the CAT24C32WI-GT3 and SN74LVC161284DL. By type, the board carries 5 capacitors, 4 connectors, 4 resistors, 2 ICs and 1 jumper.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts and retro computing designs in this gallery.

v4 mainly corrects some minor flaws in the v3 design. Bypass capacitors are added, a few traces are rerouted to avoid passing under resistors, and the footprints for the EEPROM resistors are changed from 0603 to 0805. Also, a few CAD-related inconsistencies were fixed, like unclosed board outline and footprints not being consistent between the schematic and board layout files.
