This KiCad 10 project contains the schematic for a compact 24 V electronic filament-cutter controller. Every purchased component has a PCB footprint and an LCSC Part field; JP1 is intentionally bare PCB copper.

- J1 accepts 24 V through JST-XH. D1 is an SMBJ24A input TVS. - U2 (AP63205WU-7) generates 5 V at up to 2 A; U3 (AMS1117-3.3) generates the digital 3.3 V rail. L2 filters a separate analog 3.3 V rail. - U1 is an STM32F072C8T6 in LQFP-48, with an 8 MHz crystal, reset and BOOT0 buttons, native USB DFU, and a dedicated SWD header. - U4 (DRV8870DDAR) drives the 24 V brushed motor. Filament-Guillotine: common questions

What microcontroller does the Filament-Guillotine use?

The Filament-Guillotine is built around the STM32F072C8T6, from the STM32 family.

How many components are on the Filament-Guillotine?

82 components, from 51 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Filament-Guillotine design files?

From the Zephino/Filament-Guillotine repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Filament-Guillotine design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, which Zephino chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Filament-Guillotine without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
