About the Tpd PCB

Tpd is an open source PCB design by 0x007E, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50.8 × 50.9 mm, with 13 components from 5 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the AT42QT1070-S. By type, the board carries 10 resistors, 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 capacitor.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Touchpad

The TPD is a board with six single pads that are connected to a AT42QT1070 touch sensor. The touch sensor can be connected to any microntroller over TWI. The board itself can be driven with a voltage from 1V8-5V and controlled over the AT42QTXXXX driver library.

The pcb is created with KiCAD. All files are built with github actions so that they are ready for a production environment.

Tpd: common questions

How big is the Tpd PCB?

The Tpd measures 50.8 × 50.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Tpd?

13 components, from 5 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Tpd design files?

From the 0x007E/tpd repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Tpd design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
