About the SuborFpga PCB

SuborFpga is an open source PCB design by 2bitsin, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 97.8 × 108 mm, with 39 components from 21 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the ADV7125KSTZ50, CS4334-KSZ and AS6C4008-55PCN. By type, the board carries 14 resistors, 12 capacitors, 6 ICs and 2 connectors.

It belongs with the audio, retro computing and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

NES in SystemVerilog on a QMTech Cyclone V FPGA, plus a VGA/audio/gamepad daughter board

A KiCad board that plugs onto the QMTech Cyclone V core board (5CEFA5F23) through its two 2×32 pin headers. It gives the FPGA everything a NES needs to talk to the outside world.

Jumper points let you route the audio through the VGA connector instead.

SuborFpga: common questions

How big is the SuborFpga PCB?

The SuborFpga measures 97.8 × 108 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SuborFpga?

39 components, from 21 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SuborFpga design files?

From the 2bitsin/SuborFpga repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SuborFpga design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with 2bitsin. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
