About the Backup PCB

Backup is an open source PCB design by 411568, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 320 × 81.3 mm, with 98 components from 10 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TLC5916IN and LTV-847. By type, the board carries 80 diodes, 6 switches, 4 resistors, 3 transistors, 2 ICs and 2 connectors.

It belongs with the rf & radio and audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

Simple FM radio based on Atmega8 and TEA5767 module

This project is a revision of one of my old designs, created a long long time ago when atmel atmega chips where still dirty cheap.

It contains two seperate boards: - mainradioboard - this one contains an Atmega8 microcontroller, TEA5767 FM radio module, PAM8302 amplifier module and power connector. - displayandcontrols_board - this one is specificly designed to fit in an old Unitra radio case, it has LEDs used as radio frequency indicators, rotary encoder for changing the frequency, potentiometer for volume and some additional buttons.

Backup: common questions

How big is the Backup PCB?

The Backup measures 320 × 81.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Backup?

98 components, from 10 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Backup design files?

From the 411568/Atmega8_FM_radio repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Backup design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which 411568 chose for the repository.
