From the project
An STM32-based RS485 to Wi-Fi gateway supporting Modbus communication for industrial IoT applications.
A custom hardware gateway designed to interface industrial RS485/RS422 devices with an ESP32-S3-based WiFi system. The design features dual RS485 channels, galvanic isolation, robust power protection, USB-C programming, and industrial-grade surge protection.
Industrial communication networks often rely on RS485 due to its long-distance capability and noise immunity. This project implements a dual-channel RS485-to-WiFi gateway that enables serial devices to communicate with an ESP32-S3 for wireless connectivity and data processing.
