About the Alim PCB
Alim is an open source PCB design by acmo0, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 84.5 × 65.3 mm, with 60 components from 12 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the L7809. By type, the board carries 26 capacitors, 18 diodes, 8 connectors, 7 ICs and 1 fuse.
It belongs with the power & battery and audio designs in this gallery.
From the project
This is a description of pedalboard power supplies that I designed an made. I use this power supplies, they are fully working. Pay attention : they are made for 230VAC.
For exemple this is the tension at the output of the diode bridge if your transformer ouput is 18V :
You connect each transformer outputs (if your transformer have only one secondary coil) on the "From-transformer-secondary-output_X" labels. There are capacitors in parallel of each diodes to minimize noise from diodes. You have also a 2200µF capacitor to "smooth" the voltage from the diode bridge. Finaly, you have a 1.85A polyfuse to protect your power supply and pedals mainly against short-circuits. All regulators are connected on "diodes bridge output".

Alim: common questions
How big is the Alim PCB?
The Alim measures 84.5 × 65.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Alim?
60 components, from 12 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Alim design files?
From the acmo0/PedalBoard-Power-Supply-Diy repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Alim design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which acmo0 chose for the repository.
