Q-Flo-Prototype

About the Q-Flo-Prototype PCB

Q-Flo-Prototype is an open source ESP32 PCB design by adwaithas-2004, published on GitHub under the Custom license license. It is a board, with 11 components from 10 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32 DevKit V1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the TLC555CP and 5V/3V3 module. By type, the board carries 3 ICs, 3 resistors, 2 connectors, 2 capacitors and 1 diode.

It belongs with the iot & wireless, sensors and wearables designs in this gallery.

From the project

ESP32 prototype that monitors fuel quality (capacitive dielectric sensing) and quantity (flow metering) with a live Wi-Fi dashboard. B.Tech ECE mini project.

An ESP32-based prototype that checks fuel quality by capacitive (dielectric) sensing and measures fuel quantity with a flow sensor, then shows both live on a phone or laptop over Wi-Fi. Built as a B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering mini project.

Adulterated fuel and short delivery at filling stations are hard for a driver to spot. Q-Flo explores a low-cost way to watch both while fuel flows: petrol and its common adulterants have different dielectric constants, so the capacitance of a small sensing cell changes with what's flowing through it, while a flow meter counts the…

Q-Flo-Prototype: common questions

What microcontroller does the Q-Flo-Prototype use?

The Q-Flo-Prototype is built around the ESP32 DevKit V1, from the ESP32 family.

How many components are on the Q-Flo-Prototype?

11 components, from 10 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Q-Flo-Prototype design files?

From the adwaithas-2004/Q-Flo-Prototype repository on GitHub, which has the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Q-Flo-Prototype design in my own project?

It is published under Custom license, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the Q-Flo-Prototype without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
