From the project

an STM32 board with on-board battery charging

This is an STM32 board (a la "Blue Pill") with built-in circuitry to charge a single-cell lithium battery, over USB or DC input. It provides 5V and 3.3V both at 1A, low standby current, battery fuel gauging, and supports charging from a solar panel.

Bluegrass: common questions

What microcontroller does the Bluegrass use?

The Bluegrass is built around the STM32F103CBT6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Bluegrass PCB?

The Bluegrass measures 61 × 88.9 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6116 mm thick.

How many components are on the Bluegrass?

107 components, from 65 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Bluegrass design files?

From the agrif/bluegrass repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Bluegrass design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, which agrif chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Bluegrass without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
