About the Water-Dispenser PCB

Water-Dispenser is an open source ESP32 PCB design by anadskman, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 81.3 × 86.4 mm, with 18 components from 13 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the LM2596S-5 and AMS1117-3.3. By type, the board carries 5 resistors, 3 ICs, 3 connectors, 3 diodes, 2 transistors and 1 switch.

It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

A water dispenser that can dispense water mixed with flavouring like blackcurrent

A custom-built smart drink dispenser that mixes water and blackcurrant concentrate on demand using two independently controlled pumps. The system is powered by an ESP32 and features adjustable mixing ratios, WiFi connectivity, cooling support, and a custom PCB.

The dispenser stores water and blackcurrant concentrate in separate containers. When the dispense button is pressed, both pumps activate and mix the liquids through a shared output nozzle. The ESP32 controls the pump speeds, allowing the drink strength to be adjusted either through a potentiometer or a future web interface.

Water-Dispenser: common questions

What microcontroller does the Water-Dispenser use?

The Water-Dispenser is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Water-Dispenser PCB?

The Water-Dispenser measures 81.3 × 86.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Water-Dispenser?

18 components, from 13 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Water-Dispenser design files?

From the anadskman/Water-Dispenser repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Water-Dispenser design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with anadskman. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Water-Dispenser without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
