The first prototype is sitting on my desk and works perfectly - clearance for weights and battery is currently wrong, so the intended battery will not fit in the case.

The name isometria75 has it's origin in the greek noun ἰσομετρία (in latin letters: isometria), meaning "equality of measure" [[1]](http://perseus.uchicago.edu/cgi-bin/philologic/getobject.pl?c.35:6:59.LSJ). This word ended up being included in various languages, among them english (isometric), with the same meaning. I chose it for two reasons - because this keyboard is only available in an ISO layout (sorry ANSI users - for…

Isometria-75-pcb iso: common questions

What microcontroller does the Isometria-75-pcb iso use?

The Isometria-75-pcb iso is built around the STM32F072CBTx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Isometria-75-pcb iso?

The Isometria-75-pcb iso measures 308.3 × 123 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Isometria-75-pcb iso?

320 components, from 28 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Isometria-75-pcb iso design files?

From the BenjaminJAnderson/Orthodox repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Isometria-75-pcb iso design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with BenjaminJAnderson. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Isometria-75-pcb iso without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
