About the EL driver multi PCB
EL driver multi is an open source Microchip SAM PCB design by benkrasnow, published on GitHub. It is a board measuring 66.5 × 32.5 mm, with 33 components from 24 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ATSAMD21E, from the Microchip SAM family. Other key parts include the HV513, LT3468, AP2204K-3.3, AP2204K-5.0 and HV507. By type, the board carries 9 capacitors, 7 ICs, 4 connectors, 4 diodes, 4 resistors and 1 transistor.
It belongs with the displays & leds designs in this gallery.

Schematic, PCB, and firmware to build a multi-channel electroluminescent driver
The MCU must be programmed with Adafruit's bootloader. The programming pins are exposed on this PCB, but a potentially easier way is to buy a Trinket M0, and use a hotplate to remove the MCU, button, decoupling caps, LEDs current-limiting resistors and USB connector, and add those parts to this PCB.
The firmware for the driving of linear display elements (ELarraylinear) is pretty stable and well-commented. The firmware for matrix driving (ELarraymatrix) is much more experimental. It's accompanying Processing.org sketch is also a pretty hacked mod of Paul Stoffregen's original OctoWS2811…

EL driver multi: common questions
What microcontroller does the EL driver multi use?
The EL driver multi is built around the ATSAMD21E, from the Microchip SAM family.
How big is the EL driver multi PCB?
The EL driver multi measures 66.5 × 32.5 mm and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the EL driver multi?
33 components, from 24 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the EL driver multi design files?
From the benkrasnow/EL_driver_multi repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the EL driver multi design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with benkrasnow. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the EL driver multi without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Microchip SAM firmware against it before you order a PCB.
