About the Arasaka devboard PCB

Arasaka devboard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Bimbot-afk, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 32.5 × 52.5 mm, with 33 components from 17 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the NCP1117ST33T3G and W25Q128JVSIQ. By type, the board carries 17 capacitors, 7 resistors, 4 connectors, 3 ICs, 1 crystal and 1 switch.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

Its a dev board, so cool, its my first one but no the last ome

A custom development board hardware project designed in KiCad. It has a cool design based on Arasaka from Cyberpunk 2077 >:D

The board is built around the RP2040 ecosystem using high-density SMD components (mostly 0402 imperial footprint).

Microcontroller (MCU): Raspberry Pi RP2040 (Dual ARM Cortex-M0+ @ 133MHz, QFN-56) Storage: Winbond W25Q128JVSIQ (16MB SPI Flash, SOIC-8) Power Management: onsemi NCP1117ST33T3G (3.3V LDO Linear Regulator, SOT-223) Clock / Timing: YXC 12MHz Crystal Oscillator (SMD 3225-4P) Interfacing: Korean Hroparts TYPE-C-31-M-12 (USB-C Receptacle, 16-pin SMD)…

Arasaka devboard: common questions

What microcontroller does the Arasaka devboard use?

The Arasaka devboard is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Arasaka devboard PCB?

The Arasaka devboard measures 32.5 × 52.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Arasaka devboard?

33 components, from 17 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Arasaka devboard design files?

From the Bimbot-afk/arasaka-devboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Arasaka devboard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Bimbot-afk. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Arasaka devboard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
