About the TIMIDE PCB

TIMIDE is an open source PCB design by Board-Folk, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 75.3 × 72.3 mm, with 21 components from 13 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 74LS74, 74LS32, 74LS138 and 74LS245. By type, the board carries 6 capacitors, 5 resistors, 4 ICs, 4 connectors and 2 diodes.

TIM-011 B Replica Board

An 8-bit IDE and Compact Flash interface for the TIM-011 for the expansion header. This requires the updated ROM by Marko Šolajić which can be found here:

The default IO address for the board as used by the ROM, selectable by jumper is E8. To date we've not found an 8 bit compatable IDE hard disk to work with this board, but a standard Amazon / AliExpress CompactFlash to IDE adapter works fine (pictured).

TIMIDE: common questions

How big is the TIMIDE PCB?

The TIMIDE measures 75.3 × 72.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the TIMIDE?

21 components, from 13 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the TIMIDE design files?

From the Board-Folk/TIM011B repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the TIMIDE design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Board-Folk. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
