About the Mesh-IT PCB
Mesh-IT is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Bored-guy-with-ADHD, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 150 × 113 mm, with 87 components from 16 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the XIAO-ESP32-S3-DIP, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the TCA8418RTWR. By type, the board carries 36 diodes, 35 switches, 6 ICs, 4 resistors, 3 capacitors and 1 transistor.
It belongs with the rf & radio designs in this gallery.
From the project
Mesh-IT is a LoRa-based off-grid communication device utilising meshtastic Software, designed for emergencies where a network is not available or unreliable.

Mesh-IT: common questions
What microcontroller does the Mesh-IT use?
The Mesh-IT is built around the XIAO-ESP32-S3-DIP, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Mesh-IT PCB?
The Mesh-IT measures 150 × 113 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Mesh-IT?
87 components, from 16 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Mesh-IT design files?
From the Bored-guy-with-ADHD/Mesh-IT repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Mesh-IT design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Bored-guy-with-ADHD chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Mesh-IT without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
