About the Bugbot hardware PCB

Bugbot hardware is an open source PCB design by BugBotLab, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a board, with 67 components from 35 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the ETA6003Q3Q, TPS63020DSJ, USBLC6-2SC6 and DRV8830DGQR. By type, the board carries 20 capacitors, 17 resistors, 11 connectors, 7 ICs, 3 transistors and 2 inductors.

It belongs with the robotics & motion and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

BugBot schematics, BOM, 3D models, assembly and the circuit simulation of the stack

Everything physical about BugBot: the schematics, the bill of materials, 3D models of the robot and its boards, the assembly guide, and the circuit simulation bench that doubles as the schematics' test suite.

The schematics are public: every sheet as KiCad source and as PDF, the symbol library, the netlists, and the BOM with part numbers. Anyone can read, simulate and repair every circuit.

Bugbot hardware: common questions

How many components are on the Bugbot hardware?

67 components, from 35 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Bugbot hardware design files?

From the BugBotLab/bugbot-hardware repository on GitHub, which has the schematic, a netlist and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Bugbot hardware design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which BugBotLab chose for the repository.
