About the Rust esp32c3-examples PCB
Rust esp32c3-examples is an open source ESP32 PCB design by ChocolateLoverRaj, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 70.5 × 64.8 mm, with 30 components from 11 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-C3_SUPERMINI, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the PC817. By type, the board carries 14 resistors, 7 ICs, 4 transistors, 4 connectors and 1 switch.
It belongs with the iot & wireless and sensors designs in this gallery.

Examples with wiring diagrams for using some sensors with ESP32-C3, programmed with Rust
I made a few mistakes in the PCB design: - I used GPIO2, which is a special GPIO pin, which did not work as an input. To fix this, I cut off the connection to GPIO2 and soldered the trace to GPIO0 instead. - The optocopulers for detecting the power and HDD LEDs assume that a 330Ω resistor is connected. This is okay if you get the wiring right, but while I was testing the PCB I accidentally destroyed 2 optocouplers (probably by connecting them to a 5V source without a resistor for a brief moment). - The LEDs on the PCB and the extra external LEDs were supposed to work even when a ESP32-C3…

Rust esp32c3-examples: common questions
What microcontroller does the Rust esp32c3-examples use?
The Rust esp32c3-examples is built around the ESP32-C3_SUPERMINI, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Rust esp32c3-examples PCB?
The Rust esp32c3-examples measures 70.5 × 64.8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Rust esp32c3-examples?
30 components, from 11 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Rust esp32c3-examples design files?
From the ChocolateLoverRaj/rust-esp32c3-examples repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Rust esp32c3-examples design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which ChocolateLoverRaj chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Rust esp32c3-examples without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
