About the OpenTendo PCB

OpenTendo is an open source PCB design by circuitly, published on GitHub under the TAPR-OHL-1.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 196.3 × 118.7 mm, with 93 components from 51 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 6116 (WRAM), 74HC373, 74HC139, 6116 (VRAM) and RP2C02 PPU. By type, the board carries 43 capacitors, 16 resistors, 10 ICs, 6 connectors, 3 transistors and 2 crystals.

It belongs with the retro computing designs in this gallery.

From the project

Neither RGB nor HDMI video output were or are a goal of the OpenTendo project, the goal was/is documentation and preservation, and the project was an exercise in reverse engineering. As such "improved" video outputs will not be added to OpenTendo.

NESRGB and Hi-Def NES can be installed as normal, but will not be incorporated into the OpenTendo PCB

The gerber files required to order PCBs can be found under releases.
