About the Hid remapper personalized PCB

Hid remapper personalized is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by cmsgraham, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 100 mm, with 124 components from 22 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the SL2.1A, MCP4651, TLV73333PDBV, W25Q16JVUXIQ and EL3H7-G. By type, the board carries 40 capacitors, 33 resistors, 29 ICs, 14 connectors, 2 crystals and 1 switch.

From the project

This variant of HID Remapper is meant to be a companion device for accessibility controllers like the PlayStation Access controller and the Xbox Adaptive Controller, especially the former, since it lacks its own USB inputs.

This variant of HID Remapper is meant to be a companion device for accessibility controllers like the PlayStation Access controller and the Xbox Adaptive Controller, especially the former, since it lacks its own USB inputs.

It has fourteen 3.5mm output ports, four of which are analog outputs. Two of the analog outputs can be used for analog sticks and the other two for analog triggers.

Hid remapper personalized: common questions

What microcontroller does the Hid remapper personalized use?

The Hid remapper personalized is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Hid remapper personalized PCB?

The Hid remapper personalized measures 100 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Hid remapper personalized?

124 components, from 22 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Hid remapper personalized design files?

From the cmsgraham/hid_remapper_personalized repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Hid remapper personalized design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which cmsgraham chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Hid remapper personalized without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
