You will need the STM32CubeProgrammer software from https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeprog.html to reprogram your badge. It's cross-platform, though I've only tested it on Windows 10. Unfortunately ST requires you to create a login to download software :(

SaintconMinibadgeHolder8: common questions

What microcontroller does the SaintconMinibadgeHolder8 use?

The SaintconMinibadgeHolder8 is built around the ICE40HX1K-TQ144, from the FPGA family.

How big is the SaintconMinibadgeHolder8 PCB?

The SaintconMinibadgeHolder8 measures 94 × 61 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SaintconMinibadgeHolder8?

23 components, from 7 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SaintconMinibadgeHolder8 design files?

From the compukidmike/Saintcon2019 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SaintconMinibadgeHolder8 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with compukidmike. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the SaintconMinibadgeHolder8 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug FPGA firmware against it before you order a PCB.
