This bootloader can be downloaded from the adafruit/AdafruitnRF52Bootloader github repository: https://github.com/adafruit/AdafruitnRF52Bootloader/releases

To use the bootloader: 1. Plug the nice!nano into your computer. 2. Touch ground and reset together twice within ~0.5 seconds to enter bootloader mode. 3. The nice!nano should appear as a USB drive. 4. Drag and drop the update-nicenanobootloader-0.9.2nosd.uf2` file onto the nice!nano USB drive to update the bootloader.

Nrf52840 qfaa: common questions

What microcontroller does the Nrf52840 qfaa use?

The Nrf52840 qfaa is built around the TPS62821DLCR, from the Nordic nRF family.

How big is the Nrf52840 qfaa PCB?

The Nrf52840 qfaa measures 16 × 13.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.69132 mm thick.

How many components are on the Nrf52840 qfaa?

23 components, from 20 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Nrf52840 qfaa design files?

From the cotty52/Mouse repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Nrf52840 qfaa design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with cotty52. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Nrf52840 qfaa without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
