YM2612 synthesizer project

Using the Sega Genesis sound chip, I will attempt to build a midi controller synthesizer, driven by the Teensy 3.5 prototyping platform. I will be using the following code bases and documentation to guide my build:

YM2612Synth: common questions

What microcontroller does the YM2612Synth use?

The YM2612Synth is built around the Teensy3.5, from the NXP family.

How many components are on the YM2612Synth?

48 components, from 25 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the YM2612Synth design files?

From the csanchez126/YM2612Synth repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and a netlist; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the YM2612Synth design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which csanchez126 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the YM2612Synth without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug NXP firmware against it before you order a PCB.
