About the BoardArduinos PCB

BoardArduinos is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by danielvilas, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 95 × 53 mm, with 14 components from 6 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_Nano_v2.x, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the ARDUINO_PRO_MINI. By type, the board carries 12 connectors, 1 IC and 1 module.

This board is only a cradle to test the project. The pro has the i2c pins on a place that it is no easy to use a withe bread board, so I made this board.

BoardArduinos: common questions

What microcontroller does the BoardArduinos use?

The BoardArduinos is built around the Arduino_Nano_v2.x, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the BoardArduinos PCB?

The BoardArduinos measures 95 × 53 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the BoardArduinos?

14 components, from 6 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the BoardArduinos design files?

From the danielvilas/DigitalTrains repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the BoardArduinos design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which danielvilas chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the BoardArduinos without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
