About the Parthiv pcb v2
Parthiv pcb v2 is an open source Raspberry Pi PCB design by dddrrreee, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 66.9 × 46.6 mm, with 30 components from 19 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the Raspberry_Pi_2_3, from the Raspberry Pi family. Other key parts include the CP2102N-Axx-xQFN20 and NRF24L01. By type, the board carries 8 resistors, 6 connectors, 6 capacitors, 5 diodes, 3 ICs and 1 transistor.
It belongs with the usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

Our goal is to create a board that can plug into the Raspberry Pi GPIO header and connect to a USB to UART converter along with some RGB LEDs. To extend the lab, you'll also add in connections to a few sensors/peripherals/hardware of your choice.

Please review PRELAB.md. If interested, you can also check out a previous version of the lab here. In the original version of the lab, we focused on designing a board with NRF24L01 wireless transceivers. You can use that board for inspiration if you'd prefer to do something a little more…

Parthiv pcb v2: common questions
What microcontroller does the Parthiv pcb v2 use?
The Parthiv pcb v2 is built around the Raspberry_Pi_2_3, from the Raspberry Pi family.
How big is the Parthiv pcb v2?
The Parthiv pcb v2 measures 66.9 × 46.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Parthiv pcb v2?
30 components, from 19 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Parthiv pcb v2 design files?
From the dddrrreee/cs340lx-25aut repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Parthiv pcb v2 design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which dddrrreee chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Parthiv pcb v2 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Raspberry Pi firmware against it before you order a PCB.
