About the AzizLight PCB
AzizLight is an open source PCB design by devttys0, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 70.1 × 29.2 mm, with 55 components from 29 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the MCP602, LM393 and MC7805. By type, the board carries 27 resistors, 12 capacitors, 5 transistors, 3 ICs, 2 connectors and 2 switches.
It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.
From the project
A voice-activated AC outlet
This circuit allows the user to turn an AC outlet on or off using a simple (or not so simple!) phrase, such as "Aziz, light!!". Note that it is not an intelligent circuit in that it does not repsond to specific commands, but only to the amplitude of the detected speech.
It does, however, provide the illusion of intelligence, as well as mitigations against false positive responses that typically plague such simple voice-activated circuits.
