About the Steppenprobe PCB

Steppenprobe is an open source PCB design by diegoherranz, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-1.2 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50 × 60 mm, with 75 components from 26 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the FT2232HL, XC6206P332MR, SRV05-4HTG-D, 93LCxxB and 74LVC1G125GW,125. By type, the board carries 25 resistors, 22 capacitors, 12 ICs, 6 diodes, 3 connectors and 3 inductors.

It belongs with the usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

- Open Source Hardware and designed in KiCad. - FT2232H-based - Simultaneous operation of JTAG/SWD and UART/SWO. - STDC14 connector: standard Arm Cortex debug connector (1.27 mm pitch) with extra pins for UART. JTAG/SWD and UART on a single connector while being compatible with the standard Arm Cortex debug connector (middle 10 pins). - USB powered: no power supply needed. - USB type-C receptacle: more convenient (reversible) and future-proof (it should be the most common connector during the next few years). - OpenOCD compatible, supported from…
