About the ESP32Pet PCB

ESP32Pet is an open source ESP32 PCB design by dishishshawn, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 82.3 × 79 mm, with 11 components from 7 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-DEVKIT-V1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the 3.3V LDO and TFT LCD. By type, the board carries 3 ICs, 3 resistors, 1 connector and 1 capacitor.

It belongs with the displays & leds and power & battery designs in this gallery.

ESP32Pet: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESP32Pet use?

The ESP32Pet is built around the ESP32-DEVKIT-V1, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the ESP32Pet PCB?

The ESP32Pet measures 82.3 × 79 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESP32Pet?

11 components, from 7 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESP32Pet design files?

From the dishishshawn/ESP32Pet repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESP32Pet design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with dishishshawn. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the ESP32Pet without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
