About the Fujinet devkit shield
Fujinet devkit shield is an open source ESP32 PCB design by djtersteegc, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 99.1 × 55.9 mm, with 40 components from 30 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-DEVKITC-VE, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the SN74LS07N. By type, the board carries 16 resistors, 9 connectors, 5 capacitors, 4 diodes, 3 ICs and 3 switches.
It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.
From the project
FujiNet compatible hardware that allows you to build your own using all THT components and an Espressif devkit board.
This is an alternative hardware platform for FujiNet that allows you to build your own using all through-hole technology (THT) components and an Espressif ESP32-DevKitC-VE devkit board. You could probably also use a ESP32-DevKitC-VIE board, but you will need to either use an external IPEX connected antenna or engage in some micro soldering since the on-board PCB antenna is not connected by default. You must use ESP32-WROVER based devkit boards, the cheaper ESP32-WROOM boards lack the PSRAM needed by FujiNet code these days.

Fujinet devkit shield: common questions
What microcontroller does the Fujinet devkit shield use?
The Fujinet devkit shield is built around the ESP32-DEVKITC-VE, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Fujinet devkit shield?
The Fujinet devkit shield measures 99.1 × 55.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Fujinet devkit shield?
40 components, from 30 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Fujinet devkit shield design files?
From the djtersteegc/fujinet-devkit-shield repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Fujinet devkit shield design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license, which djtersteegc chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Fujinet devkit shield without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
