GPS disciplined oscillator ==========================

Accurate frequency reference for measurement equipment.

A 10MHz OCXO is tuned to a timing signal of a GPS, e.g. the 1PPS output. A frequency syntheziser then generates different signals from this reference as needed/configured by the user.

Currently I am working on the firmware for V1 of the PCB. During that I found multiple issues with PCB-V1 (Schematic) which hopefully culminate in another revision of the PCB, and then the firmware. See PCB-V1 ERRATA.

The KiCad project lives in the dpiegdon/dpsgo repository on GitHub; these links point at the commit this page was built from.

Dpsgo: common questions

What microcontroller does the Dpsgo use?

The Dpsgo is built around the ICE40LP384-SG32, from the FPGA family.

How big is the Dpsgo PCB?

The Dpsgo measures 140 × 100 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Dpsgo?

149 components, from 86 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Dpsgo design files?

From the dpiegdon/dpsgo repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Dpsgo design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with dpiegdon. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Dpsgo without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug FPGA firmware against it before you order a PCB.
