A board for relay control with LoRa compatible with LoRaWAN

Are you interested in applying LoRa in an industrial environment or even connect a CNC or a PLC as well to a LoRaWAN network?

This board allows you to communicate with every LoRa device which works in the 915 Mhz band.

In this board you will find 3 relays outputs and 3 opto-isolated inputs, and it can be powered from 12v to 24v with a on/off jumper.

By now the provided firmware works as an invisible way to connect two wireless relays based on interrupts, this board its compatible with the Arduino LoRa library from @sandeepmistry but it can work with the Radio Head library this using only…

CatWAN Relay: common questions

What microcontroller does the CatWAN Relay use?

The CatWAN Relay is built around the ATSAMD21E, from the Microchip SAM family.

How big is the CatWAN Relay PCB?

The CatWAN Relay measures 50 × 86.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the CatWAN Relay?

48 components, from 29 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the CatWAN Relay design files?

From the ElectronicCats/CatWAN_Relay repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the CatWAN Relay design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with ElectronicCats. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the CatWAN Relay without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Microchip SAM firmware against it before you order a PCB.
