About the MECB SID PCB
MECB SID is an open source PCB design by epaell, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 99.8 × 99.8 mm, with 37 components from 15 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the ATF22V10C-15PU, 6581 and 74LS374. By type, the board carries 19 capacitors, 6 resistors, 5 ICs, 4 connectors, 2 transistors and 1 crystal.

The jumpers select different operating modes depending on your system. For systems with a 1 MHz system clock the clock from the MECB bus can be used to drive the SID. Under such circumstances it is also possible to pass the address lines directly to the SID chip. With the PLD set up for this mode (default) addressing the first SID is at $A0-$BF and the second SID is at $D0-$EF. This has been tested with the MECB 68008 running at 10 MHz (as this generates a 1 MHz system clock) and the MECB 6502 with a 1 MHz clock (which also provides the 1 MHz system clock). Some sample programs are available…

MECB SID: common questions
How big is the MECB SID PCB?
The MECB SID measures 99.8 × 99.8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the MECB SID?
37 components, from 15 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the MECB SID design files?
From the epaell/MECB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the MECB SID design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with epaell. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
