About the Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat
Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Fa1dz, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 73 × 63.5 mm, with 27 components from 11 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the MCP1827S-3302E/EBVAO. By type, the board carries 12 resistors, 5 capacitors, 3 ICs, 3 connectors, 1 transistor and 1 speaker.
It belongs with the iot & wireless and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.
From the project
Designing a wifi hat for the flipper zero from scratch using the ESP-32 and a custom PCB
This BOM contains all components required for the build, including electronics, PCB fabrication, shipping estimates, and the Flipper Zero used for development/testing.
Prices are based on the supplied supplier quotes.
- The BOM includes both ESP32-S3-WROOM modules: - ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8 (PCB antenna) - ESP32-S3-WROOM-1U-N8 (IPEX antenna connector)
- The Taoglas GW17.07.0250E antenna is required for the WROOM-1U module.

Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat: common questions
What microcontroller does the Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat use?
The Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat?
The Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat measures 73 × 63.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat?
27 components, from 11 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat design files?
From the Fa1dz/Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Fa1dz. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Flipper-Zero-WIFI-Hat without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
