From the project
Sensor project on PCB
This project is a compact PCB design that integrates the MAX30100 sensor to measure heart rate and blood oxygen (SpO₂) levels. The PCB is intended to be used in a wearable watch, offering real-time health monitoring.
Designed using KiCad and programmed with Arduino IDE, this project is ideal for health-tracking applications, DIY fitness wearables, and biomedical prototypes.

PCB2: common questions
What microcontroller does the PCB2 use?
The PCB2 is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the PCB2 PCB?
The PCB2 measures 69.5 × 46.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the PCB2?
12 components, from 6 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the PCB2 design files?
From the Hasona57/PCB2 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the PCB2 design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Hasona57. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the PCB2 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
