From the project

Status: Untested - This board is currently in the benchtop prototype phase of the Open Source Vacuum Cleaner project and has not yet been tested.

Status: Untested - This board is currently in the benchtop prototype phase of the Open Source Vacuum Cleaner project and has not yet been tested.

This PCB is designed to control a high RPM impeller for vacuum machines. It provides comprehensive control and monitoring capabilities with modern connectivity options.

The design features break-off sections that allow users to build their own vacuum cleaner in whichever shape they like. These break-off sections enable flexible placement of LEDs and buttons to suit various form factors and user preferences.

Osh vacuum: common questions

What microcontroller does the Osh vacuum use?

The Osh vacuum is built around the C2913205, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Osh vacuum PCB?

The Osh vacuum measures 101 × 56 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Osh vacuum?

55 components, from 26 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Osh vacuum design files?

From the hkienle/osh-vacuum repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Osh vacuum design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with hkienle. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Osh vacuum without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
