About the E36-kline onboard PCB

E36-kline onboard is an open source ESP32 PCB design by IgnacioPardo, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 90 × 50 mm, with 39 components from 31 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the E-L9637D013TR and AP63203WU-7. By type, the board carries 12 resistors, 11 capacitors, 4 connectors, 3 ICs, 3 diodes and 2 switches.

Estado: DRC 0 errores, 0 desconexiones (KiCad 10.0.5). Quedan solo avisos de serigrafía (referencias de 0603 que pisan pads); JLC los recorta solos.

E36-kline onboard: common questions

What microcontroller does the E36-kline onboard use?

The E36-kline onboard is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the E36-kline onboard PCB?

The E36-kline onboard measures 90 × 50 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the E36-kline onboard?

39 components, from 31 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the E36-kline onboard design files?

From the IgnacioPardo/e36-obd repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the E36-kline onboard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with IgnacioPardo. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the E36-kline onboard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
