Raspberry Pi HAT for SIP irrigation controller with ESP32C3 flow sensor

Raspberry Pi HAT for the SIP (Smart Irrigation Program) irrigation controller.

- Designed to interface with SIP irrigation controller on Raspberry Pi - Outputs for relay control of up to 16 stations with 74HC595 output header for more - XAIO ESP32C3 module for flow sensor monitoring with inputs for hall flow sensor. Designed to work with the flow plugin - Communicates flow sensor data to Pi via UART - 5v I2c headers. Great for LCD plugin.

SIP-Pi hat: common questions

What microcontroller does the SIP-Pi hat use?

The SIP-Pi hat is built around the Raspberry Pi Header, from the Raspberry Pi family.

How big is the SIP-Pi hat?

The SIP-Pi hat measures 85 × 56 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SIP-Pi hat?

33 components, from 21 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SIP-Pi hat design files?

From the IMHarris/SIP-Pi-hat repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SIP-Pi hat design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, which IMHarris chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the SIP-Pi hat without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Raspberry Pi firmware against it before you order a PCB.
