About the Pi zero weather hat circuit
Pi zero weather hat circuit is an open source PCB design by irpl, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 65 × 30 mm, with 14 components from 7 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the MCP3008 and BME280. By type, the board carries 3 connectors, 2 ICs and 1 resistor.
It belongs with the sensors and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.
From the project
Raspberry Pi Zero weather station HAT: fab-ready Gerbers, plus schematic and layout reconstructed from the copper
Design and manufacturing files for a custom Raspberry Pi Zero HAT that drives a weather station kit. Fabricated November 2020.
The board reads temperature and humidity from a BME280, and interfaces the kit's outdoor sensors — a wind vane, an anemometer, and a tipping-bucket rain gauge — through two RJ11/RJ12 jacks. Because the Pi has no analogue inputs, an MCP3008 ADC on the Pi's SPI bus reads the wind vane's resistive output.
