Password storage for nerds
Pinch is an open-source, personal and portable device capable of storing, retrieving and entering your passwords on demand. It is a physical device with no internet access and only works through manual activation. Pinch is the size of a USB flash drive. It has a USB interface, two buttons and a three digit display which are used to select and confirm the desired password. When confirming, simply put the focus on the password field and the Pinch will enter it for you.

Pip backup: common questions
What microcontroller does the Pip backup use?
The Pip backup is built around the CH552G, from the WCH CH32/CH55x family.
How big is the Pip backup PCB?
The Pip backup measures 41.9 × 23.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Pip backup?
30 components, from 17 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Pip backup design files?
From the jnthas/pinch repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Pip backup design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which jnthas chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Pip backup without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug WCH CH32/CH55x firmware against it before you order a PCB.
