About the GCM PCB

GCM is an open source PCB design by JonathSpirit, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-W-2.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 203 × 116 mm, with 123 components from 33 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LM810, LTC6994xS6-1, 74AHC1G32, 74AHC273 and 74AHC1G04. By type, the board carries 57 capacitors, 42 ICs, 13 connectors, 9 resistors and 1 crystal.

It belongs with the wearables and retro computing designs in this gallery.

- A max frequency of 50Mhz divisible by multiples of two (up to a division of 65536). For the processor and a seperated line for peripherals.

- 2 MM1 memory slot with address extension.

- Code execution from the memory slot 1 and switchable with the memory slot 2.

- Redirection of the writing buses (can be used as buffer).

GCM: common questions

How big is the GCM PCB?

The GCM measures 203 × 116 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the GCM?

123 components, from 33 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the GCM design files?

From the JonathSpirit/GCM repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the GCM design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-W-2.0 license, which JonathSpirit chose for the repository.
