Firmware and pcb's for custom built electric kart
Firmware for Atmega-8 Microcontroller and kicad PCB-Files for a custom built electric kart. Note: The firmware and PCB files Version V1 were originally created in 2015, those have been added to this repository for archival purposes.
Note: make upload flashes the last compiled .elf file only -> also run make first for compiling and flashing the latest version.

Control: common questions
What microcontroller does the Control use?
The Control is built around the ATMEGA8A-P, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Control PCB?
The Control measures 82 × 124 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Control?
61 components, from 25 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Control design files?
From the Jonny999999/electric-kart repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Control design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Jonny999999. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Control without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
