Its main chip is the Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the ATMEGA32U4-MU and 24LC64. By type, the board carries 73 diodes, 71 inductors, 9 jumpers, 9 resistors, 7 capacitors and 5 connectors.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

Narrow pitch keyboard with Choc switches and keycaps. GH60 compatible.

Nora is a narrow pitch keyboard with Choc v1 low profile switches. It has symmetrical gapless R2-R3 row, like Jones. Original bottom plate and GH60/Poker compatible low profile cases are supported.

Nora: common questions

What microcontroller does the Nora use?

The Nora is built around the Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Nora PCB?

The Nora measures 285 × 95.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Nora?

272 components, from 101 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Nora design files?

From the jpskenn/Nora repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Nora design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which jpskenn chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Nora without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
