About the Kashboard PCB

Kashboard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by kashsuks, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 21 × 51.1 mm, with 35 components from 17 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the MCP1700x-330xxTT and W25Q16JVZPIQ. By type, the board carries 18 capacitors, 7 resistors, 4 connectors, 3 ICs, 1 crystal and 1 switch.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

RP2040 Based devboard

kasboard is a devboard that is (sorta) based off me. It is a rp2040 based devboard that follows this. I added a neopixel APA102 that will act as a status light to indicate when the board is turned on and when it is not.

Kashboard: common questions

What microcontroller does the Kashboard use?

The Kashboard is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Kashboard PCB?

The Kashboard measures 21 × 51.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Kashboard?

35 components, from 17 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Kashboard design files?

From the kashsuks/kashboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Kashboard design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which kashsuks chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Kashboard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
