About the Filabilly humidor PCB

Filabilly humidor is an open source ESP32 PCB design by kbob, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 70.3 × 30.2 mm, with 13 components from 10 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO ESP32C3, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the MP1584. By type, the board carries 6 connectors, 4 resistors, 2 ICs and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the iot & wireless and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Dehumidifier cabinet for printer filament

The FilaBilly Humidor (FBH) is a smart cabinet for 3D printer filament storage and humidity control. It's based on an IKEA BILLY bookcase and contains an active dehumidifier. It has lighting, environment sensors, and a display screen, and it is Internet enabled.

The FilaBilly Humidor is based on ESPHome. It can be used as a standalone device or integrated into Home Assistant.

Filabilly humidor: common questions

What microcontroller does the Filabilly humidor use?

The Filabilly humidor is built around the XIAO ESP32C3, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Filabilly humidor PCB?

The Filabilly humidor measures 70.3 × 30.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Filabilly humidor?

13 components, from 10 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Filabilly humidor design files?

From the kbob/filabilly-humidor repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Filabilly humidor design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the Filabilly humidor without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
