About the NSSFC PCB

NSSFC is an open source STM32 PCB design by Keyaan-07, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 37 × 37 mm, with 88 components from 27 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F405RGTX, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the W25Q128JVP, QMC5883P, ICM-20602, BMP580 and AP63205WU. By type, the board carries 39 test points, 24 capacitors, 9 resistors, 7 ICs, 5 diodes and 1 crystal.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

NSSFC is an FPV flight controller made with the STM32F405 and it has an IMU, Barometric pressure sensor and a magnetometer. It uses the betaflight as firmware(thus no firmware directory in this repository). The package is a typical 37mmx37mm.

We made it to learn more about Flight controllers and make PCBs in a small area, especially something like 37x37mm!

NSSFC: common questions

What microcontroller does the NSSFC use?

The NSSFC is built around the STM32F405RGTX, from the STM32 family.

How big is the NSSFC PCB?

The NSSFC measures 37 × 37 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the NSSFC?

88 components, from 27 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the NSSFC design files?

From the Keyaan-07/NSSFC repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the NSSFC design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Keyaan-07. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the NSSFC without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
