About the AtmosMesh bench station PCB

AtmosMesh bench station is an open source ESP32 PCB design by konih, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 139 × 58 mm, with 25 components from 21 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32_DevKit_V1_Socket, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 7 connectors, 6 resistors, 4 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 jumper and 1 diode.

It belongs with the iot & wireless, sensors and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

ESP32 indoor air-quality station: PM, climate, and a local OLED — headed for MQTT, Home Assistant, and Grafana.

A 2-layer, all-through-hole carrier board for the bench revision: an ESP32-WROOM-32 DevKit sits in two 1×15 sockets, the three 3.3 V sensors get proper connectors, and the future 5 V sensors get connectors in a visually and electrically separated block. No mains on this board — the AC/DC module stays off-board and enclosed (docs/hardware/power.md).

Board outline is 139 × 58 mm, 1.6 mm, 2 copper layers, GND poured on both.

AtmosMesh bench station: common questions

What microcontroller does the AtmosMesh bench station use?

The AtmosMesh bench station is built around the ESP32_DevKit_V1_Socket, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the AtmosMesh bench station PCB?

The AtmosMesh bench station measures 139 × 58 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the AtmosMesh bench station?

25 components, from 21 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the AtmosMesh bench station design files?

From the konih/atmosmesh repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the AtmosMesh bench station design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which konih chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the AtmosMesh bench station without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
